A custodian that works at this library at night has reported seeing apparitions on the stairs, feeling cold spots and seeing books that slide in and out of the shelves on their own. Some believe the ghost that haunts the place is that of former librarian, Lydia Barton. This location has been featured on an episode of TV’s Ghost Hunters.
