If you have not been to the Halloween Ball at the Hawthorne, you have not really experienced Halloween. A tradition for over 20 years, this party sells out every year and is the “place to be” in Salem. The Hawthorne Hotel’s annual Halloween Ball is the biggest and best Salem has to offer. This year’s theme is “The H Files: Alien Invasion.” Enjoy three floors of food, fine costumes, live music, DJs, dancing, psychics, and of course the big Hawthorne costume contest. Winners are awarded with cash prizes and, most importantly, claim to a 12-month bragging right.

Renowned all over the world, Salem has become synonymous with Halloween, and ever since 1991 the annual Hawthorne Halloween Ball has been the place to be. As the hotel transforms into an unrivaled see-and-be-seen spectacle, close to 1,000 people attend the costume party that takes place across 3 floors.

Vying for cash prizes, and year-long bragging rights, guests outdo each other with their creative costume designs, and some even come all the way from California just to attend this night long extravaganza. Complete with a live band, 2 DJ’s and food stations, this is a party that cannot be missed!
